Vision
To impact the economic growth and gender equality in Africa through skills development and innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship and unlocking opportunities for women.
Core Values
What guides our work and how we show up for women and girls.
We value everyone and treat people with dignity and professionalism.
We strive to challenge existing practices, striving to find ways to continuously improve, as a means of developing creative solutions and putting them into action.
We value the contributions of others within WITU and those with a similar goal and strive to build partnerships so that we are not reinventing the wheel but working together to achieve greater results.
We act with honesty, doing the right thing always.
We believe that we are all equal. The only difference between those empowered is that they got the opportunity earlier than those who are not. The young women and all our beneficiaries are equal partners in our work.
Our Goals
Clear outcomes that drive our programs and partnerships.
The lives of women and girls

Strategic Impact Statement
Over the next 5 years, we will create 100,000 jobs for young women, including refugees and females with disabilities. This will be achieved by carefully working with communities and their people to bring lasting change. The WITU Model has been tried, tested, and perfected. We know it works because it already has. WITU participates in the formation of new businesses and the scaling of existing ones. What does that mean for our tech women? Direct access to jobs through the digital economy. We know our story is just beginning…

Our History
Created by women, for women, and growing across Uganda.
Created by women, for women. In 2014, our journey started with only 2 computers and 7 participants in Kampala. Since then, we have evolved into a prominent national nonprofit, expanding our reach to over 35 districts across the country. Today, we proudly engage with and empower over 6,000 young girls and women annually.
